REVIEW Superman/Batman: "Mash-Up"

Superman/Batman: Mash-UpSuperman/Batman #60-61: “Mash-Up”, Pts. 1 & 2

Writers: Michael Green & Mike Johnson

Art: Francis Manpul

Despite Bruce Wayne being dead in the core DC Universe, they’ve daftly found a way to keep him alive, by continuing to use Bruce Wayne in flashback stories that were never told in titles such as “Batman Confidential”, and in out of continuity tales that exist just to make the fans squee and to give slash writers something to, well, write about.  For those people, we have “Superman/Batman”, and to really make the slashers happy, we have “Mash-Up”, in which the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight find themselves encountering a world comprised of hybrids of the people they know.

In The Pull List! on June 15, 2009 at 12:49 am

I reformatted the computer recently, and don’t have everything back in place yet. So, no video pull list right now! We’re doing it up old school today, kids. Don’t forget, Captain America #600 comes out Monday instead of Wednesday, and just because its not on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good.

The trailer for the next DC Animated flick, “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” was leaked recently. All the copies of it have been pulled off of YouTube, but The HomeWorld has found it still available on a Russian video sharing site!

The trailer offers glimpses of the films leads, as well as Lex Luthor, Major Force, Black Manta, Giganta, Catman, Bane, The Composite Superman/Batman Rocket, Katana, Captain Atom, Silver Banshee, Metallo, Solomon Grundy and more, all based on Ed McGinnis’ designs.

The animated feature, which is an adaption of the Jeph Loeb penned and Ed McGinnis drawn premiere arc of the ongoing “Superman/Batman” comic book, is slated to be released sometime this Fall.

The Pull List! Week of April 29, 2009

In The Pull List! on April 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm

So here we are again. A new week, a new Pull List. Derk just finished up college for the semester, and my temp assignment just ended, so expect me to get the site back to its full running potential during this lapse. In the meantime, why not pick up some ad space to show off your website and help support ours? I’m also looking into launching a store so you can purchase official HomeWorld merchandise.

In the meantime, here’s this week’s Pull List! Legion of Three Worlds makes its return, as it edges closer to its grand finale, while an old friend from the X-Men’s past makes their shocking return. As always, this is just the list of purchases I recommend, but just because its not on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good! If you enjoy this article, leave a comment to let us know, or hit the button the left and leave us a DIGG.
