I’ve made no bones about having some serious love for the post-Messiah CompleX X-Men Universe.  They’ve always been one of Marvel’s biggest sellers, and are consistently strong titles, but the entire Universe has become a fairly solid, tangible thing ever since Messiah CompleX ended (Well, excluding that recent Sisterhood mess).  But in the world of the Dark Reign, the X-Men have essentially been left to their own devices in their new safe haven of San Francisco, while Norman Osborn marches onward throughout the rest of the Marvel Universe, tearing up everything he sees before him.  Finally, the two paths collide with the six part “Utopia” storyline. The Pull List! Week of June 24, 2009

In Comic Reviews on June 21, 2009 at 10:25 pm

Good lord! Marvel comics must be hemorrhaging money. In addition to having three times as many titles as DC does on this week’s Pull List, over a quarter of those titles are new releases or title changes related to the “Dark Reign” event that, let’s face it, most people wish would end! Its a pretty big list this week, Marvel comes in on top with 30 titles, while DC puts out 11 titles. Hey, quality over quantity folks. Don’t forget: just because it isn’t on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good.

The Pull List! Week of April 29, 2009

In The Pull List! on April 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm

So here we are again. A new week, a new Pull List. Derk just finished up college for the semester, and my temp assignment just ended, so expect me to get the site back to its full running potential during this lapse. In the meantime, why not pick up some ad space to show off your website and help support ours? I’m also looking into launching a store so you can purchase official HomeWorld merchandise.

In the meantime, here’s this week’s Pull List! Legion of Three Worlds makes its return, as it edges closer to its grand finale, while an old friend from the X-Men’s past makes their shocking return. As always, this is just the list of purchases I recommend, but just because its not on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good! If you enjoy this article, leave a comment to let us know, or hit the button the left and leave us a DIGG.

The Pull List! Week of March 11th, 2009

In The Pull List! on March 16, 2009 at 5:00 pm

Just like a few weeks ago, when Marvel unleashed an onslaught of Avengers titles, they’re doing it again this week: every X-Men title but Cable is coming out this week!!  It seems like poor marketing, in my opinion.  How could they possibly expect people who are fans of the books to afford all these?  Ultimate X-Men and Young X-Men end this week, but next month will also see the launch of the revamped New Mutants, which we now know is going to feature Illyana Rasputin.

Meanwhile, over on the DC side of things, we’re getting our second Battle for the Cowl crossover, this week, and I’m really excited.  I was a pretty big fan of Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael, and I’m eager to see if I’m right about who this new Azrael is, and how they’re going to handle the character.  Judging by solicits on DC’s website, though, it looks like this one is going to be great.

That said, lets get going!  Time for this week’s PULL LIST!
