The Pull List! July 22, 2009

In The Pull List! on July 21, 2009 at 4:32 am

Well, we’re experimenting with the format of The Pull List again this week.  Why back to a written article?  Well, first off, I had to reformat my computer and haven’t reinstalled my video editing software.  Secondly, the only comment I got regarding the format last week said WRITTEN! so, we’re written.  *shrug* Leave a comment if you disagree or agree, and don’t forget that just because it isn’t on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t good.

Amazing Spider-Man #600

Amazing Spider-Man #600

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #600

Marvel

Why You Should Read It: After last week’s stellar conclusion to “American Son”, it’s the he big 600th issue wedding spectacular! A death is looking like a pretty likely event (I think we can guess who it is) as a certain tentacled foe from Spidey’s past returns to create much chaos in his life.

Official Solicitation: “The greatest Marvel super hero of all celebrates his 600th issue with the biggest all-original issue of Amazing Spider-Man EVER! This one’s got it all! The return of Doctor Octopus, Daredevil, a wedding you never predicted, and the return of one of the most important people in Peter Parker’s life in a giant-sized lead story by Dan Slott and John Romita Jr. Doc’s back in town, but it’s only a prelude to darker days ahead as Spidey unknowingly prepares for a gauntlet he can’t even see coming. On top of all that, witness the return of one of Spider-man’s creators, Smilin’ Stan Lee (along with Masticatin’ Marcos Martin) as he presents a story of unbridled passion, drama and angst as Spidey reflects over his many, many years of adventures. But that ain’t all…as the rest of the Spidey Web-Heads bring you several short features showcasing some rarely explored aspects of both Spidey and Pete’s life, drawn by some of the greatest artists in comics. Plus, several other surprises and NO REPRINTS! 104 pages of goodness brought to you by some of the best creators that have ever worked on Spidey!”

  1. I think the new Spidey may be a good start to my indoctrination into comicbooks.

Now I guess I find out how far behind the times my local store is. Is there any specific day comicbooks come out? You know, the way DVD’s always come out on Tuesdays etc…
